About VinylBox
What is VinylBox?
Our aim at VinylBox is to surprise and delight our customers by curating three albums into a surprise box. We search the globe for reviews and ratings from music fans, always seeking music that we hope is beyond the 'obvious’ for you. We offer a surprise every single time at prices averaging 30% less than RRP*. In addition, we ensure that your box of three albums has an average rating of 4/5* and no matter how many times you order, we guarantee that you never get the same album twice.
What do I get in each box?
Each box contains 3 carefully selected albums with genuine reviews, from music fans around the world and with the help of our curators, we aim to bring you a headliner, a household name and a hidden gem. The average RRP of a vinyl album is an average £20.31 in the UK.
What is your money back guarantee?
We are so sure that you will love your VinylBox that if you’re not happy, we’ll refund your money. As long as all the albums are still sealed, simply post back the box. We will refund the price of the box (less any discounts applied) less the original cost of delivering the item to you. See our Store Policy for details.
Can I get a subscription?
Yes you can! We are delighted to have now launched our monthly subscription VinylBox.
How much does a box cost?
Our one-off boxes cost £50, which includes free postage in the UK, offering you an average 20% discount. For international shipping there are currently 4 shipping group rates, ranging from £9.55-£12.55 for Europe and £30 for ROW - please enter your details at checkout to confirm accurate shipping costs.
Our subscription boxes cost £45 a month if you pay monthly, via direct debit and if you pay annually
How can I avoid getting duplicates?
Please use the same email address to order every time to avoid duplicates and to allow us to track this on your behalf.
Can I buy a box without subscribing?
Yes, we offer all of our VinylBoxes as one-off boxes as well as on subscription.
Can I find out which albums I am going to receive?
No! That would defeat the surprise aspect of our boxes, there are few surprises in life these days - let this be one of them! However, for our subscription VinylBoxes we do offer the opportunity to veto up to 2 of the albums that are offered within that month’s subscription offering.
For one-off boxes, if you, or the person you are buying the box for already has an extensive collection and you think they have one of the albums in the VinylBox you are looking to buy, just drop us an email and we will exclude it.
Can I choose which VinylBox I receive?
Yes absolutely, please check out all our collections at vinylbox.co/collections/latest-collections. If you are a subscriber, each month we will offer you a new box and we will regularly update the boxes that we have on our site - we are all about helping you build your collection, so new boxes (and therefore albums) will be essential to our journey together.
How do you decide which albums go into VinylBox?
Our curators help us to ensure that our VinylBoxes are something you will enjoy. Every box has an average rating of 4 to 5* having been selected based on reviews from real music lovers, critics and bloggers from across the globe.
Will there be any different VinylBoxes coming soon?
Yes! We are always crate digging on your behalf, so we will be adding new collections regularly. Keep an eye on our social media accounts and sign up to our mailing list to hear about our latest updates. This is a community based company and we would love to hear from you about what you would like to see in the future.
If I order more than one VinylBox, will I receive the same albums?
We will ensure that you never receive the same album twice - the only thing we ask is to please use the same email address for repeat orders, or if your email address changes please advise us, so that we can link your orders.

Ordering, delivery and returns
How will my VinylBox be sent?
Your box will be sent to you via Yodel. Once your box is dispatched, you will receive an automated message with your tracking number, which can be checked on https://trackmyitem.whistl.co.uk/tracking enabling you to follow your delivery status online, or via your mobile.
How long does it take for my VinylBox to arrive?
All UK orders should be dispatched within 2-5 working days (standard delivery) or 48 hours (express delivery), if the order is placed before 11am, international orders will take up to 7 days depending on the destination.
How can I get an order number?
Once you place an order with us, we send you an automated email with your order number and transaction details. Please check your inbox (and if it's not there look in your junk folder), you will have received communication from us.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we do! For international shipping there are currently 4 shipping group rates, ranging from £10-£20 for Europe and £30 for ROW - please enter your details at checkout to confirm accurate shipping costs.
N.B. The shipping price is per box shipped i.e. for a 3 month subs we need to charge shipping for each month that we ship a box.
Can I cancel my order?
We will definitely have sad faces if you cancel your order but of course you can - please refer to our store policy for cancellations or returns.
How do I return my order?
If you need to return your order, please refer to our returns policy.
My box hasn’t arrived, what do I do?
Firstly, we’re really sorry - please refer to your tracking number in the message you received. If you have further problems please get in touch and we are happy to help you.
Will my VinylBox fit through the letterbox?
Sadly not - LP’s are 12’’/30.48cm in diameter - so sadly won’t fit and if you are not in they may need collecting or redelivering. If you would like to leave us any delivery details or change your delivery address to a work address, please let us know. However, as a result of the pandemic we realise that even if you are not at home, hopefully one of your neighbours is…
I’ve moved, how do I update my address?
Please just email us at hello@vinylbox.co with details of your updated address.
Gifts and gift cards
Can I buy a VinylBox as a gift?
Yes! Our VinylBoxes make perfect gifts - whether it's for you (we all like treats) or someone else. If you can't decide which box they'd like you can always purchase a gift card so they can choose for themselves.
How do I redeem a gift card?
Use the code from your gift card in the discount code section at checkout. If you have any problems, please email us on hello@vinylbox.co and we will be happy to help you.
What if I am not sure what my gift recipient enjoys listening to, can you help?
No worries - we can help you! You can either message hello@vinylbox.co and we can assist and if you are still unsure then a gift card is a very good option.
